Mail-In Voting Would Cause the Biggest Fiasco America Has Ever Seen…

With all of the controversy surrounding the current state of affairs with the U.S. Postal Service, liberals are screaming foul play. Their contention is that by unplugging high-speed sorters and removing mail drop boxes from certain areas, the Trump team is attempting to muck up the election process in their favor.

It’s no surprise how they would focus on this considering the way they seek out even the slightest of events to further boost their accusations of unfairness. They have failed to take the financial status of the USPS into consideration. In retrospect, much of what has been done was to, in fact, save the post office. It has nothing to do with the upcoming presidential election.

President Trump has clearly stated how mail-in voting could easily result in “the greatest disaster in election history.” Meanwhile, Democrats on Capitol Hill have blindly shouted from the rooftops how this is an attempt to cripple the mail service.

What the Democrat politicians have failed to realize, or admit, is how the USPS is not the problem with voting by mail. Other factors come into play. Big factors.

Trump clearly and concisely detailed his concerns. “I think there’s more enthusiasm now than there was four years ago,” the president said. “The only thing I’m concerned about is the unsolicited ballots, where they’re going to send 80 million unsolicited ballots to people that they don’t even know if they’re alive or if they’re living there … I think it is a catastrophic disaster for this country.”

The president pointed out how the primary election in New York’s 12th Congressional District. It took two full weeks of evaluating and counting ballots in a very simple race when the results could have and should have, been available on the same night as the votes were cast.

Now, imagine this scenario in a presidential election that involves the entire nation. We may never learn the true outcome, and without a doubt, it would become an endless cycle of challenges by either party.

Trump went on to explain, “It’s not the post office. No, it’s the elections office. The post office — look, this is a con job. It’s like the Russian hoax. The post office has run the way it’s been run forever. Louis DeJoy will do a good job. But the post office is the post office.”

In 2019 the post office delivered a staggering 142.5 billion pieces of mail. Yes. Billion. This breaks down to 471 million per day. Now imagine adding mail-in ballots to this overwhelming figure. Postal workers work very hard, day and night, and they do a great job, but this extra influx would very easily cause a major meltdown.

But even so, the post office would get the job done just as they always do. Even if it took a couple of days to process all of the ballots, the election results would not be affected.

The President was asked if he was concerned about the post office’s ability to deliver the ballots. “No,” he replied. “It’s not the post office … it has nothing to do with the post office. Even if mail delivery were a day late, that’s not the problem. The problem is when they dump all these [ballots] in front of a few people who are counting them, and they’re going to count them wrong. The post office is not to blame.”

Truer words were never spoken. Imagine, if you can, bags upon bags of paper ballots being dumped in front of a sparse number of counters. It would be chaotic, and there is no telling how much time it would take. And, if a recount were called for…you get the idea.

This might not be all bad though. Trump may get to remain in office another four years just waiting on the final results, so there’s always that.

All kidding aside though, mail-in voting would cause the biggest fiasco in the history of America. Just say no.
