More than a year after Americans were first introduced to Dr. Anthony Fauci we get the news that the White House coronavirus task force doctor is finally getting the heat put on him about some of his most egregious errors in his dealings with COVID-19 and the American people.
Suspicion about the National Institute of Health leader since it was discovered that he had a close association with the Wuhan lab where it’s believed the coronavirus was developed. However, despite sending funding to the lab to do the very research that is thought to have produced the novel strain of coronavirus, Fauci has denied every critical piece of information at every step.
He denied sending funding to the lab (which the NIH did), he denied the virus was man-made, etc, etc, all of which could have incriminated *him.*
As such, it became apparent that the American people had more to learn from this doctor of Health and Capitan of viral industry which prompted Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul to ask Attorney General Merrick Garland to criminally investigate Dr. Anthony Fauci, despite his position as chief medical advisor to President Joe Biden.
This information was obtained by The Washington Examiner and brought with it a whole slew of questions, including whether Garland, formerly spurned by the Senate himself, will look into Fauci’s alleged lies to the Senate during testimony that the National Institutes of Health never funded gain-of-function research at the Wuhan Institute of Virology,
“I write to urge the United States Department of Justice to open an investigation into testimony made to the United States Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions by Dr. Anthony Fauci, Director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, on May 11, 2021,” Paul’s letter to Garland, obtained by the Examiner, stated.
Paul made his intentions to see the investigation public on Tuesday and it wasn’t long before reporters brought back up the May 11 exchange between Paul and Fauci where Paul inquired before congress about the questionable funds’ usage. The Kentucky senator focused on the funds being used for “gain of function” research.
For those unfamiliar with these types of research, congratulations on having a life outside of medicine, but also it’s good to be aware that “Gain-of-function research is a type of medical research whereby scientists modify a disease-causing organism in a way that alters how the disease is developed, in a way that increases the transmissibility of the illness, and/or in a way that widens or shrinks the range of hosts for the disease,” the Independent Journal Review reported.
So, in order words, just like the title says, the research looks into how things (in this case, viruses) can GAIN more function. Such as hopping from an animal to a person (something they couldn’t previously do). Sadly, what was once relegated to horror movies might just have been the kickoff to the horror show that scarred many lives when a strain of the tampered-with virus is believed to have escaped the lab, likely on a living host, and began to work it’s way through the entire world.
It’s easy to see how this particular issue would be a bone of contention among Conservatives in particular. Americans need to know that the massive loss of life, not to mention economic devastation and freedom revocation that the world suffered during 2020 and into 2021 wasn’t brought on by one mad scientist whose funding and lack of care cast the whole world into reality. And if it was because of the lab, that it wasn’t due to American funding. And if it was due to American funding, we have to be sure nothing like this ever happens again. All issues that no one can get to the bottom of if Fauci continues to lie to congress.
