Is President Joe Biden a fan of the late Princess Diana of Wales? If he’s not, it’s believed that he still did what many of the former dutchess die-hard followers have wanted to do for quite some time upon meeting Charles’ former-mistress turned wife Camela Parker Bowles.
Biden was rubbing elbows with some of the most powerful people in the world during the G26 summit and it was too much to hope for that the president of arguably the most powerful nation in the world would have the decorum to make Americans proud of their leader. But it was altogether unexpected and another gear altogether for him to be out of control of his own bodily functions, which is what it appears happened during the summit.
According to the Post Millennial, an anonymous source has told the press just days ago that Biden let out a “long and loud” fart on Monday while talking to Camilla Parker Bowles, the Duchess of Cornwall, who is the second (and only living) wife of Prince Charles, who is the son of Queen Elizabeth II.
“It was long and loud and impossible to ignore,” iterated the source, who was a person close to the royal family. They went on to state that “Camilla hasn’t stopped talking about it,” according to the New York Post. According to the publication’s report, the incident took place at the posh Kelvingrove art gallery at a reception held due to the G26 climate summit.
But the Duchess, who it could be argued is a figurehead only, wasn’t the only witness. The publication reported that the current Prime Minister of the UK, Boris Johnson, was also nearby and likely in earshot. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were also thought likely victims of the president’s show.
The president, who will turn 79 later this month, reportedly caused the royal family to take note to the point that it’s been an ongoing conversation piece amongst the Buckingham palace set.
A source who spoke to the Mail on Sunday that Parker Bowles has continued to bring it up, and said “It was long and loud and impossible to ignore,” and that the most recent wife of Prince Charles was “taken aback.”
To be fair to Biden, he is elderly, and many his age aren’t sticking through the day without a mid-afternoon nap at this point in their lives. Which apparently, isn’t something that Biden is too good at either.
It was earlier that same day that cameras caught Biden nodding off during the climate change conference. The post reported that Biden’s eyes were, at one time, closed for around 22 seconds before an aide appeared to wake him up and remind him of where he was.
“Biden could not keep his eyes open while listening to Eddie Ndopu, a disability rights activist, who began losing the president as he warned that global warming threatened ‘our ability to grow food and even to survive,’” the Post reported.
But again, as the oldest president the nation has ever seen, it’s no wonder that the aging commander and chief of the nation’s armed forces and quite likely the key holder to world initiation via nuclear codes, might not be able to skip nap time without negative repercussions.
The man is not faulted for needing a nap, letting one rip accidentally, or even taking a first wife’s side in the presence of one of the most infamous mistresses of all time. We’re just questioning whether he should be representing us on the world stage (or a cocktail party).
