Obama is Still the Democratic Golden Boy

It’s been years since Barack Obama was president. Since he exited the Oval Office, we’ve seen Donald Trump warm the seat – and now, Joe Biden.

Yet, the Democrats still can’t get enough of Obama. If they could have, they would have kept him in office for a third term. Since they couldn’t, they still turn to him as often as possible to get his opinions. And when they have the opportunity to keep him in the limelight, they take it.

Obama has received an Emmy. Oh, you missed the show that he starred in? Yeah, so did the rest of the world. It turns out that his outstanding performance was in narrating a documentary.

The Netflix documentary was actually produced by Higher Ground, the production company owned by Barack and Michelle Obama. It was a five-part series entitled “Our Great National Parks.” It focused heavily on the national parks and the wildlife found throughout the world.
The former president had already won two Grammys for narrating these autobiographies, so it was only a matter of time before the Emmys jumped in to give him yet another award.

If it seems like overkill, it is.

The awards that Obama has accumulated as a result of being the Democratic golden boy are impressive. He was the winner of the Nobel Peace Prize – and that was specifically for his “extraordinary efforts to strengthen international diplomacy and cooperation between peoples.” He may have wanted to give Joe Biden a rundown on how not to destroy his hard work in that area.

Netflix tweeted their excitement about the Emmy award with the comment, “Congrats to President Barack Obama, who just became the first President to win a competitive Emmy for narrating Our Great National Parks.”

CNN can barely contain its excitement at the success of Obama. They have boasted, “Barack Obama is on his way to a possible EGOT.”
An EGOT, by the way, is someone who has received an Emmy, a Grammy, an Oscar, and a Tony. Obviously, that’s an incredible feat – and it’s not something that happens very often.

Though, if anyone can figure out how to make it happen, it’s the Democratic Party. They’ll lie, cheat, and steal to get Obama a Tony. Unless they plan on throwing him on Broadway in some capacity, it’s unlikely that the former president will ever actually be an EGOT winner. They can dream, though.

Did Obama actually win the Emmy due to his amazing narration? Sure, maybe. Though there are plenty of people who consider this to be just another way for liberal media to idolize Obama.

As RedState commented, “In Obama’s case, it’s not like the guy was the immaculate, transformative figure his sycophantic fans predicted he could be – and his administration was far from scandal free. Critics accused Obama of downplaying links to Islamists – Islamic militants – in the run-up to the 2012 election, and questions abounded over O’s mishandling of the terrorist attack on the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi, Libya on Sept. 11 and 12, 2012, dogging Obama for months.”

It’s convenient that the liberal media is willing to look the other way at what Obama has done wrong so that they can continue to promote him as the single-best president of the country. Forget about the bad things. Look, he won an Emmy.

Suddenly, now that Obama is an Emmy winner, we’re supposed to simply revel in the national parks and be in awe at that narration. Netflix is hoping for a real win with this docuseries, too.
